An emotional wedding in Eure
There are encounters that leave a lasting impression… And the one with Pauline and Florent is without doubt one of those. From the very first moment we spoke, a beautiful connection was established between us. And our first meeting in Paris confirmed this feeling: we were simply on the same wavelength.
Today, I’m delighted to take you back to their beautiful wedding at the Grange de Bourgoulta charming venue nestled in the Normandy countryside. The wedding took place on June 1, 2024, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, in an atmosphere that was at once gentle, festive and deeply human.
A beautiful complicity before the big day
Even before the wedding, I was lucky enough to meet them on several occasions: twice over drinks, once at another wedding where Pauline was best man, and of course, for their engagement session in Paris, a moment I’ve already shared on the blog here 👉 see the session.
In fact, it was this session that enabled us to forge a real bond. They told me how much it helped them feel more at ease in front of the camera. On the big day, they were natural, relaxed and totally in the moment.
Uncertain weather, absolute zenitude
On June 1, when I arrived at the Grange de Bourgoult with Olivia, my trainee (trained as part of my coaching program for wedding photographers), the sky was very cloudy. We could feel the rain coming down at any moment, and the idea of holding the secular ceremony outdoors was far from obvious.
But what struck me as soon as the preparations began was the couple’s total serenity. Where others might have panicked, Pauline and Florent were relaxed, smiling and confident. Their calm set the tone for the whole day.
Preparations rich in emotion
On both sides, the preparations were a reflection of the couple: simple, sincere and full of kindness. There was complicity, laughter, but also some very touching moments.
Two particularly powerful moments will remain with us forever:
– Pauline’s discovery by her dad: a tender embrace.
– The moment with her grandmother, full of sweetness and intergenerational emotion.
It’s at moments like these that we realize just how unique each marriage is, because it’s shaped by family histories and deep-rooted ties.
An open-air ceremony
In spite of the clouds, Pauline and Florent decided to hold their outdoor ceremony. And they were right: the light was soft, the atmosphere intimate, and their love literally warmed the atmosphere.
It was one of the highlights of the day. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, the bride and groom listened to speeches from family and friends, punctuated by singing, laughter and even a few dance steps.
You could read the emotion on every face. The looks, the gestures, the silences between words… it was all there, true and deeply sincere.
A cocktail full of colors and surprises
After the ceremony, it was time for cocktails! The atmosphere was joyful, relaxed and very colorful, just like the guests who had all played along with their lively outfits.
During this convivial moment, we took the time to take a few group photos, followed by more fun and spontaneous shots with their friends. Nothing fixed, nothing posed. Just energy, laughter and complicity.
There were also some wonderful dance surprises prepared by their loved ones, with a collective choreography that was absolutely brilliant.
A simple, real and lively couple session
Taking advantage of a little lull before dinner, we took a moment to have a little couple’s session on the estate. And what a beautiful series of photos we were able to create!
Between the bursts of laughter, the tender gestures and the interplay of glances, each image tells a part of their story. They were simply themselves, and you can feel it.
There’s no need for staid poses or grandiose backdrops when you’ve got such an expressive, connected couple.
A warm evening in the Grange
The rest of the day took place in the magnificent reception hall of the Grange de Bourgoult, with its wooden beams, warm lighting and typical Norman countryside wedding atmosphere.
The evening included a number of speeches. And once again, a great deal of emotion. Tears, laughter, shared memories, tender winks. Pauline and Florent were often hand in hand, savoring every word, every gesture.
The evening then got underway with an energetic first dance, followed by a packed dance floor that lasted until the end of the night.
What we remember about this wedding
This wedding was a concentrate of humanity. Pauline and Florent are the kind of couple we dream of accompanying: open, caring, good listeners, deeply sincere.
It was a pleasure to meet them again, to live this day with them, and to capture all these moments with discretion but with a heart wide open.
I can’t write this article without sharing Pauline‘s touching words, which she confided to me after the photos were delivered. A testimony that touches me deeply:
“Choosing Aymen to immortalize our wedding was one of the best decisions made in the whole organization of this event.
Aymen is a very talented photographer who will surround you with his kindness and authenticity.
A great listener, he is discreet but always has a professional, creative and objective eye. He knows exactly what he’s doing and captures every key moment. All her photos are real treasures. Each one is more sublime than the next. Every detail, every choice of shot or angle, every moment is captured with accuracy, delicacy and taste to make the shot simply unique and out of the ordinary.
It’s impressive to see all the photos he took at our wedding: the quality of the image, the precision of the moment that Aymen manages to capture perfectly, it’s indescribable how beautiful it is!
We’re very happy and grateful to have had the chance to have Aymen by our side to immortalize our union. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Aymen, for your kindness, availability and professionalism. Everything was perfect and far beyond our expectations. This is what we call exceptional work, the eye of an eagle, the rare pearl of photography. 🙂
Go for it with your eyes closed, you’ll be sincerely satisfied, Aymen is simply incredible. Thank you, thank you and thank you again for having succeeded in immortalizing all these treasures from a stage of life so important to us.
Also, before the wedding, we opted for an engagement session, which was a great moment shared by the 3 of us! Aymen managed to put my husband and I at ease in front of the camera, creating a warm and friendly cocoon. This enabled us to select a few photos to include in our wedding announcement. We received nothing but compliments. Brides and Grooms-to-be, I highly recommend this engagement session, which will prepare you for the big day. It allows you to relax in front of the lens under Aymen’s expert guidance, and offers you wonders that you’ll enjoy rediscovering every day as you wait patiently for the big day and even afterwards 😉
Everything was perfect thanks to you Aymen, thank you a thousand times. 🥹
NB/ 5 stars is clearly not enough to express just how incredible Aymen is. If we could give him 10,000 times more, we would without hesitation. That’s the galaxy of stars you deserve, both professionally and personally. We really fell in love with him! 🧡
To the Moon and Back!
